📅 Planning & Scheduling Lead
We are looking for an experienced Planning & Scheduling Lead for a long-term assignment within a large-scale industrial project in Boden.
This is a site-based role with responsibility for planning and scheduling oversight, assurance, and integration within the assigned project area. You will act as the owner's representative for planning and scheduling matters, ensuring that schedules are developed, maintained, and reported in accordance with established project standards, methodologies, and governance requirements.
🎯 About the Role
You will work closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, EPCM, and contractor teams, providing independent review and challenge of schedules, progress reporting, forecasts, critical paths, and recovery plans.
A key responsibility is to maintain and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the assigned area, ensuring alignment with project milestones, interfaces, dependencies, and execution priorities.
You will also support project controls and management teams with accurate schedule analysis, performance reporting, risk identification, and forward-looking insights to enable effective decision-making.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Act as the owner's focal point for planning and scheduling within the assigned area.
Review, challenge, and assure EPCM and contractor schedules for quality, completeness, logic integrity, and compliance with project standards.
Conduct schedule health checks and ensure adherence to planning and scheduling best practices.
Verify that planning assumptions, interfaces, constraints, and execution strategies are accurately reflected in schedules.
Ensure consistent progress measurement and reporting.
Develop, maintain, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Integrate EPCM, contractor, and stakeholder schedules.
Ensure alignment between area schedules and overall project milestones and objectives.
Maintain schedule logic, dependencies, interfaces, and critical milestones.
Perform schedule updates, analysis, and forecasting based on actual site progress and emerging risks.
Work closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and contractor teams to validate progress.
Participate in site reviews, coordination meetings, and planning workshops.
Identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities and support mitigation and recovery plans.
Ensure reported progress accurately reflects physical progress achieved on site.
🎓 Education & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
A relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications required to perform the role.
Experience in project planning and scheduling within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
Experience managing integrated schedules.
Experience working in complex, multidisciplinary project environments.

Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
Experience with Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS).
Understanding of schedule risk analysis and QRA processes.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and delivery areas.
Ability to work effectively across complex project interfaces and dependencies.

🏗️ Work Environment
The position is primarily based at the construction site and requires close engagement with field execution teams.
You should be comfortable working in a dynamic, high-paced industrial environment with potential exposure to noise, heat, dust, and demanding site conditions.
The role may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses. You must also be capable of navigating industrial plant sites, including climbing, working at heights, accessing confined spaces, and moving around equipment and structures.
